On March 17, according to the New York Times, people familiar with the matter revealed that the U.S. Department of Justice has quietly informed European officials that the United States is withdrawing from a multinational team aimed at investigating leaders who may be responsible for the invasion of Ukraine, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
