Gunbattle breaks out in capital of Chad, 'situation under control'

The Jins data reported on January 9th that on the evening of the 8th local time, a gun battle broke out in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad, and Chadian government officials said the "situation is under control." Local residents said that at around 20:30, "intense" gunfire was heard from the direction of the Presidential Palace and the National Square. According to local media reports, Chadian government forces clashed with armed members of the extremist group "Boko Haram", and the situation has now been brought under control.
