The U.S. Senate Banking Committee will once again attempt to confirm Caroline Crenshaw's reappointment as SEC commissioner.

Odaily Planet Daily News According to the Senate Banking Committee of the United States, it will once again try to confirm Caroline Crenshaw's re-election as a commissioner of the U.S. SEC to prevent the Democratic Party from losing majority control in January. Sherrod Brown, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (who will leave Congress on January 3), plans to vote on Crenshaw's nomination on December 18. Brown said the nomination decision was delayed because Republican senators 'acted on behalf of special interest groups', possibly referring to the cryptocurrency industry. At least one dark money organization connected to the cryptocurrency industry, Cedar Innovation Foundation, has petitioned US lawmakers to oppose Crenshaw's nomination. (Cointelegraph)
