📅 July 3, 7:00 – July 9,
Odaily Planet Daily News According to 0xScope monitoring, since Multichain issued a statement, the de-anchoring of asset prices on the Fantom chain has intensified. Currently, Fantom is turning to LayerZero and other diversified cross-chain bridges and liquidity solutions.
The current transaction prices of mainstream assets on Fantom (based on LayerZero USDC) are as follows:
BTC: $4,167;
ETH: $402;
USDC: USD 0.24;
USDT: $0.16.
According to previous reports, Multichain officially released a long article saying: Currently CEO Zhao Jun is still in a state of missing after being taken away by the police. The team previously contacted the MPC node operators and learned that their operational access keys to the MPC node servers had been revoked. In addition, these MPC node servers, like other common servers, actually run under the ZhaoJun personal cloud server account. Team members do not have access rights to ZhaoJun personal cloud server accounts, so they cannot log into these MPC servers.
All operating funds and funds from investors have been under ZhaoJun’s control since the project’s inception. This also means that all of the team's funds and access to the server are in the hands of ZhaoJun and the police. On July 7, the user assets locked on the MPC address were abnormally transferred to an unknown address.
As a result, the team was forced to cease operations due to lack of alternative sources of information and corresponding operating funds. The team will update the community if there are any further notices and developments.
