The Japanese government has submitted its budget application guidelines for the fiscal year 2026.

Jin10 data reported on August 8th, the Japanese government approved on Friday the guidelines for budget requests for the fiscal year 2026, allowing departments to apply for 20% more funding than the initial budget for the fiscal year 2025, for priority policy measures including measures to address price pump. The total budget request for this fiscal year, starting in April next year, is likely to exceed 110 trillion yen for the fifth consecutive year.
