The U.S. envoy is expected to travel to Doha to participate in the Gaza ceasefire talks as early as the 8th.

On July 8, Jin10 reported that on July 7 local time, U.S. President Trump stated during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House that he believes Hamas and Israel wish to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He hopes to reach an agreement with Netanyahu on the terms to end the Gaza conflict during their meeting. It is reported that U.S. special envoy for Middle East issues, Wittekov, is expected to travel to Doha, Qatar, as early as the 8th to participate in talks between Israel and Hamas and work towards an agreement. Wittekov stated at the dinner on the 7th that there is a chance to ultimately reach a peace agreement, and he hopes it can be realized soon.
