According to a report by Golden Finance, two insiders revealed to AXIOS that Israel is preparing for the possibility of Iran restarting its nuclear program, with senior officials believing that U.S. President Trump may approve a new round of strikes by the Israeli military. The Iranian nuclear crisis will be a major topic during a dinner on Monday evening at the White House between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Israeli officials stated that Prime Minister Netanyahu hopes to reach a consensus with the U.S. side on the future U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations and the "red lines" that could trigger military action. Israeli Prime Minister's senior adviser Ron Dermer revealed in a closed-door briefing that during his recent trip to Washington, he received a clear signal—that under certain circumstances, the Trump administration would support Israel in launching new strikes against Iran. Sources indicated that triggering scenarios include: Iran attempting to transfer highly enriched uranium from the damaged facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, as well as Tehran moving forward with the reconstruction of its nuclear program (especially uranium enrichment facilities).
