Trump on Musk: Disappointed with his recent performance, their relationship has become distant.
According to the Financial Associated Press, U.S. President Trump talked about his relationship with entrepreneur Elon Musk in an interview with Fox News on June 29. After Musk criticized the "big and beautiful" tax and spending bill, Trump said in an interview that he didn't talk to Musk much. He believes that Musk is a wonderful and intelligent person who was involved in his campaign, but is now in a frustrated state and is behaving "inappropriately". When asked why Musk was frustrated, Trump mentioned that electric vehicle mandates are a conundrum for Musk, saying, "I don't want everyone to have to have an electric car."
