Tether Partners with LINE NEXT and Kaia to Launch USDT on Kaia Blockchain
Integration aims to support the use of stablecoins in LINE's growing Web3 ecosystem, especially in Asia.
As part of the collaboration, USDT will be integrated into LINE's Mini Dapp platform and its self-custody wallet, enabling users to make in-app payments, conduct cross-border transfers, and participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) activities.
Tether, stating that "This marks an important milestone in our mission to promote the adoption and accessibility of digital dollar," emphasized that the distribution in Kaia will increase the real-world usability of stablecoins in everyday applications.
Kaia, formerly known as Finschia, is built by LINE's blockchain division and is focused on expanding blockchain infrastructure to support consumer applications.
With more than 250 million users in LINE's ecosystem, the integration of USDT is expected to facilitate the adoption of both stablecoin and blockchain on a large scale.
This move follows a series of expansions recently undertaken by Tether, which continues to broaden its blockchain footprint and deepen its relationship with Asia-centric Web3 projects.
